<p>i didn't notice then when i finished my main essay and submitted it on commonapps. and now when i go back to reread it, it had so many but's! ~3 weren't necessary!!!!! now i hate myself. i would be happy if i could delete those stupid superfluous words! penn's gonna hate it</p>
<p>Lol…don’t be so critical on your "but"s. You can’t do anything to your submitted essay now and it might not be as obviously distracting as you think anyways. Just fix them for your RD applications and hope for the best. Good luck!</p>
<p>P.S. I found a few minor problems on my essays, too. Like a couple of the non-English characters didn’t get displayed correctly…</p>
<p>lol when i read it as i submitted it, i really liked it. now…not so much anymore. i know i’ll be kicking myself forever about this haha. and also i made a mistake on the work experience part of the app…i guess there’s a little disadvantage to applying Penn EARLY…no time to really rectify anything.</p>

I don’t know if its the anxiety or what, but everytime I look back on my essays I feel like they’re worse than the last time I read it, even though I have made no changes whatsoever since I submitted my ap on 10/21. Hahaha.

<p>No one’s perfect. Plenty of applicants have mistakes throughout their applications (I have a sentence in my additional information part that I would kill to take out).</p>

<p>LOL gotta love this thread!!! is penn one of the easier ivies to get into bc it seems like it is. i am applying to princeton and harvard, perhaps cornell bc im in NY but i didnt like the campus at all.</p>
<p>no it is incredibly elite and just as elite (often more elite than) as the other “lower” ivies</p>
<p>i feel like Penn is really climbing the prestige ladder in recent years (partly thanks to wharton, of course)! it’s awesome and so selective</p>
