I think it’s largely genetics, but maybe slightly stress-related. I’ve been finding white hairs in my hair since I was maybe fifteen. My great-grandmother had them since she was twenty-one. While that’s not the best example, you get my point. It could also be your diet.

And I agree that you shouldn’t worry too much about it.

i relaxed my hair and occasionally find white/gray hairs. my brother started getting gray hair in junior high, though.
I doubt it’s due to stress, because you’re not even middle aged yet, so it’s most likely genetics, or the relaxant

I had quite a few my junior year, probably due to stress, since I don’t have very many these days (now a senior). I have some friends who have a lot of grey hair already, so it could be genetic.

I have a large patch of gray hair on the back of my head, and I usually am never stressed.

I look at the bright side, however. Nobody in my family ever went bald (in fact, we all have thick heads of hair), so I don’t care about its color.

I found a red hair once. And I’m Asian, so I don’t know how that happened. If you’re really concerned, you should talk to your doc. Altho personally I wouldn’t worry too much. I agree with everyone else’s posts.
