Hi everybody!

Let's start talking. My name is Rachel and I'm from Oregon. I'm transfering from Tulane in New Orleans.

Cheers!

Okay apparently no one else is going to Brown...or they actually have better things to do than talk on this forum

claysoul, brown didn't offer you any financial aid right?

haha i love how you're the only brown transfer. great job! can i visit you when i go to rhode island next year?

I turned it down, but congrats again Clay - you really deserved it.

I'm going to Brown! They actually never received my response so I got an email saying they were withdrawing me from the class of 2008. They said I would have to call the office if this was a mistake. I'm in China right now, so calling the office was a problem. I had to call home at 5:00 in the morning (time difference) to tell my mother who then called and they said I had to fax my signature. No access to a fax machine too. So then I had to call the admissions office from China and I talk to one of the people there who said that without my signature he could not reserve me a spot since people actually said they were somebody else and enrolled in Brown. It had happened before. Eventually, he said I could email my social security number and say that my mother would vouch for me. It was a messy ordeal, but I'm in and will be eating at the ratty with the rest of them.

should've just had your mom sign for you. I think it is legal as long as on the signer's end, they have a written agreement with you to let them sign for you, in case disputes of fraudulence arise. correct me if I'm wrong...

social security numbers are easy to obtain.

My name is Molly. I'll be transferring from Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

I actually haven't decided if I'm going to Brown or staying at HC. :( Ugh, indecision!

Hey there Molly. Hey Copper. Maize -- not going? gasp. Have fun at UMich!

Poke -- nope, I got financial aid. I was going to withdraw my application for aid but I decided against it.

I'm transferring to Brown this fall as well but I'm class of 07. I'll be starting at Summer@Brown on Monday the 20th. I'm really excited/anxious!! It'll be weird starting over again and I'm pretty intimidated.

Hey there, I'm transferring to Brown class of 2008 from Davidson College congrats to everyone who's going...Can't wait to meet you guys! Sweetsangria, I'm totally excited but so afraid to start again...

hey you guys! I feel the same way. I think we all do.

what's summer at brown?

It's just the summer school. Not all of my credits from Carleton transferred over, so in order to graduate in 4 years I need to take a couple classes this summer. I guess it'll be some sort of warm-up to actually starting in the fall.

Claysoul, Decisions2Make, copper45, flipflopgroove, it's nice to know a few people heading to Brown!

Congrats to your success.

I'm going through the process of transfering next year from that school outside of Boston....but I greatful to hear so many positives.
