OMG i'm in:) likely letter!!

Out of pure curiosity, can you post your stats?

idc about stats right now!! yippee! (first time i can say and believe this!)

i’m doing a research project in school and wrote a bit about it on my application
~600 hrs community service, several EC’s
12 AP’s
i play cello and sent a music supplement, but i mailed it around 12/30 so i think it’s unlikely that it’s been reviewed yet.

hope that helps!

Congrats, pig!

I wish I could get one. :frowning: But that’s probably not very likely.

congrats guyss
damn though, i wish i had applied earlier lol…applying on jan 4th wasnt the best option i guess :P…unlikely to get any likely letters anytime soon atleast lol

thanks!! i’m just curious, how likely is “likely”? i managed straight A’s last semester, so i think i’ve maintained my “current level of academic progress”. is it safe to assume i’m “in”? 80%? 90%? haha. i just don’t want to get my hopes crazy high and have them change their minds later… :/

so im assuming only engineering candidates are receiving these likely letters…

So my question is: do they send likely letters as they read the apps? Do they read the apps in The order they were received?

So it is possible that Columbia has not read my app, and I might get a letter in the future? I sent mine on January 3rd. It seems really early.

the wait is killingg meeeeee

zomggggg i wish i had sent my app in earlier…I too sent it in early January blehhhhh…

pigs, is columbia your top school out of ure remaining rd schools?

nope, but it definitely knocked off 9 schools from my list :)

which schools did you apply to?

i’d only turn down columbia for harvard, princeton, yale,MIT

@ pigsatsea
did you get a call for an interview?

nope, i never got an interview

“i’d only turn down columbia for harvard, princeton, yale,MIT”

Well, this is a given. You’ve got the best backup school there is.

Columbia’s a much better experience overall I personally think.

yeah !!

pigs- why yale? cu has better engineering. plus it is the best school on earth.
