Ok, I hate to sound obnoxious, but if for some reason if I just so happened to get into Brown, Northwestern, or Macalester, do you think they would rescind my admissions for having a C for a quarter on my report card. Before this year I had straight A's, although I have had a couple of B's this year, my UW GPA is still like 3.9 overall. I just might get a C for 3rd quarter and I was wondering how this may affect my future. I realize that one C is normal, but these are some selective schools. I realize that I prob wont get into Brown and NU, but if I did and I accepted the offer, and then they rescinded me, then I have noooo college to go to.

Anyway....do you think I could get rescinded from these uber selective schools (if I even get accepted) with a C???

1 C is fine. 1 D is starting to get shaky. 2 C's is shaky as well. You won't be rescinded for 1 C, assuming you're at about your normal level otherwise.

1 C should be fine...do schools send in your quarter grades anyway? I would suggest working on raising that for semester, either way, because I think semester grades are what are sent for the "end of the year report" thing.

Hm, I still say that if you get it up by semester, it's ok. Even if they can see the 'C,' bringing it up to a 'B' or so would show them that it's not an effect of you being lazy, just a little bump. I think they get that. I mean, everyone gets a bad grade on a test or has difficulty once in a while. I don't see any reason why they'd rescind you for that.

I'm so glad colleges can't see my grades right now. I totally bombed the first Calc test of the semester.
