OMG!!!! OMG!!!! OMG!!!!! OMG!!!!! an A MINUS??!!!!

Okay, yeah, title is real tacky. Okay.

Yes, this is a hackneyed topic, but no one has objectively answered it. Do top LACs/universities mind seeing a transcript filled with A minuses, a few As (so maybe 70% A- and 30% A) and one to three B+s?

of course not.

Particularly if those classes are rigorous at a competitive high school.

I hate when people ask stupid questions..you won't survive in the real world

One A- -- rejection in every school in U.S. Try StarBucks.

FACTS:

-A minuses lead towards lower GPAs (A- = 3.7).
-Higher GPAs make for a stronger application.

I hate when people are really naiive about the admissions process. There are many kids with 4.0s applying to top schools and many kids don't have them. There are no statistics out about the number of kids with sub 3.9s they accept.

That is why I ask.

Depends on the school you go to.

like if you plan to go to an ivy or a top school, it will affect you

but other schools, most likely not

No, Just_Browsing meant that it depends on the high school you go to, because not all high schools give different GPA points to minuses and pluses. At my school, a 91 gets you the same GPA as a 100.
