My TI-89 got stolen today during P.E in the locker rooms. Yeah im ****ed. It had all the SAT programs and cost $184.

damn that sucks
i dunno how big your school is, but not an awful lot of people in my school have 89s so if one was stolen at my school, i would notify all the advanced math teachers

ouch
it's amazing how some people have no conscience lol
but, it might turn up. Ya never know.

Mine got stolen too in the locker room.... but it wasn't mine, it was part of my teacher's class set. I told her and got a new one. xD I'm too cheap to buy my own calc. ):

Good luck getting it back. :(

The same thing happened to me freshman year. You may have some chance at recovering it. People who steal graphing calculators have no use for them other than selling them for about $30. If you tell enough people that your interested in buying a TI-89, maybe the kid will hear about your interest. Assuming he doesn't know who he stole it from, he might be stupid enough to sell it back to in which case he's screwed and you have your calculator back. However, in all likely hood, your calculator is on ebay right now, and you will never get it back.

Why didn't you put it in your locker?

my math teacher always whined about the dwindiling amount of calculators in the class. We started at 32, and ended at 8

That sucks. I know how precious calculators can be, and I give my deepest sympathies.

I hope that you will find your calculator. I lost my calc thrice but found it again each time. I guess no one likes the good old TI-83.

OMG, the same thing happened to me the day before my math final. Luckily one of my friends was able to lend me theirs. Good Luck with finding your calculator.

Sorry to hear that. :(

My TI-83+ was stolen in sophomore year. I was in honors chem class and I guess I left it on my desk duing a lab. The bell rang and I came back and packed all my stuff up. I didn't notice my calculator was missing when I put everything in my bag. A few minutes later I noticed that it had been stolen. I had to buy a calculator on eBay to replace it. :(

Freshman year I got my TI83 silver edition, my gameboy advance with banjo kazzioe, $47 and a pair of shorts stolen in the gym locker room. I've also lost 2 other TI83s and a Ipod Nano at school.

I had my mp3 player stolen in freshman year. It was one of the ones that needed a special program so that it can get files into mp3 player for it to work. I considered having a friend put a virus on that CD, bring it to school, and leave it where the mp3 player got stolen.

Why are there not locks for the TI 89 and Voyage 2000?

You know, like how there are locks for laptops?

There would have to be a way to make a lock for those suckers and then you can lock it to whatever:)

The first thing I did when I got my TI 83+ was carve my name on the back of the calculator.

I also painted the graphic on the front gold during sophomore math, so it is easy to tell if the calculator is mine.

i got my 83 and cell stolen while at practice. sucks that you all got your stuff stolen but im kinda glad that im not the only one.
