OMG the labtop with my long essy crashed

Lost long essay for chicago and I didnt have it saved on the website. Do u think i have time to redo it....?/What should I do? I would give up if Chicago wasnt one of my top choice.

try to boot up windows on the "safe mode" (I am assuming that your laptop is a PC)

man, that sucks, i am sorry

If your laptop still works, the essay may be in the computer's cache. Ty to look through the Word system folders in attempt to find a temporary file.

It is also good to go to Control Panel/ Folder Options and check where it asks you if you want hidden files to be displayed. that temporary word file may be hidden

First of all, you should have saved it at least once. That way Word auto-saves if for you. Now reboot windows, do NOT do anything else and start a NEW word file. Chances are it will be recovered. If you did anything else then I dont know.

If worse comes to worst and nothing works, call the Office of Admissions and explain your situation. It's you're first choice, right? And what else can you do? If they're not sympathetic, you haven't really lost anything.

And then, if all fails, get working on that essay. Still have a few hours. And I'll be happy to help.

You may have a little more time than you think.

"If you do the application online, you have to click the submit button before the clock strikes midnight in Baker Island (the last place in the world that the date changes)."

yup i think you have like till 4 am in the morning to submit it
due to the time difference

I believe Baker Island is 4 hours earlier than PST. So, 12 M at Baker Island would be 4 AM in LA, or 7 AM in NY.

oh i'm in chicago
so what would it be here????

hmmmm so i still have a lot of time to check my essays perfecto
