OMG! Trustee!!!!

Just received my letter. Super excited!!
I'm from Texas. ^_______^

Yes! I got it today! Trustee '12!! Stepbrother got Presidential!

My two sisters at USC have Trustees, and one of them is in Architecture (10 semesters paid)!

USC gives my family lots of money!

congratulations!

Wow, congratulations all of you who were nervously waiting!
So far we haven't heard of any who were up for Trustees to be bumped down. I wonder how many out of the 300 who attended, were offered the Trustees?

the website said they would give out 100, but of the matriculating freshman in 2007-2008 there were 138

My S heard from a friend who was up for Trustee---but was offered Presidential.

I got Trustee too!

I live in Kansas and STILL haven't received my letter... Were all trustee letters sent out on Friday?? I figured I would get mine on Monday and when it didn't come, I knew it HAD to come the next day, and then I was POSITIVE it would come today, but I guess I'm SOL for now... I'm dying to know the results! Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back and congrats to everyone who has!

My son is in Iowa and hasn't heard anything either. He is accepted into the engineering college. Does that make any difference?

My D received it last Saturday, but a couple of others in her school got it Monday. We are all in So Cal and close by, mail takes a day. It's possible they may not all go out in one batch, plus if you are in the midwest or east it's probably normal it would take a few days longer. Best of luck!

my s got a letter from USC today but it wasn't "the" letter -- it was a letter telling him that he got into his second choice. We're from Canada so it's going to be a long, torturous, angonizing wait.
Do they wait list people for the scholarship since some kids might not accept if they choose other schools?

@ Molly,

Don't worry. I live in Chicaog and I was waiting for an important piece of correspondence from USC and it took 10 days from the day it was sent, lol. So just be patient and keep your fingers crossed! And if you stalk the mailman, make sure to get him a present, haha.

@ bmom. From what I've heard. There is no waitlist for scholarships, however, the merit scholarships from people who choose to not matriculate at USC gets redistributes as financial aid grants for those who do matriculate.

thanks aerableparable and congrats on your scholarship, what is your major?

still no letter yet. Quite a few trustee have already gone out to others in SCA so I'm not being very hopeful.

I interviewed for pres and got the trustee

congrats Evken! still nothing for us =(

Try checking OASIS. I remember that last year people found out on OASIS before they got letters, but mine hasn't been updated for weeks.

intended major. haha good question. something bio or math-ish?

Mollym90, did you ever get your letter in Kansas? We finally got ours in Iowa, he got presidential and not trustee. If I understand the way it works, it probably will not help him at all, because it will just be applied against his need based aid and he'll basically get nothing, given our EFC. Makes some of his other schools much better financial options. Given how many people seem to have interviewed for presidential and gotten trustee, it seems like a bait and switch, lol.

aerableparable, there is no info on Oasis. somebody suggested that we call them but s didn't want to, probably didn't want to hear that he got nothing over the phone.

crazy mom, sorry that your s got bumped down. i've heard of some getting bumped down to dean's and some get nothing.

^ bmom, really? You know people who received nothing after interviewing for Trustees? Wow, that must be terribly disheartening. But I'm sure that's very rare, even bumping down to Deans.
I've heard that most at least get Presidential.
