i just realized recently i was suppose to have turned in that financial sheet that was in the app jan 1. opps i didn’t get to start on the app till dec when my mom told me to apply to more reach schools and i had overlooked the details. Do i just withdraw my app? penn is my 4th choice school so its not like im crying.

send the financial aid in NOW

**so its not like im crying
[/quote]
** if that is truth then why are you here on CC begging for empathy? Asking for advice?

yes, withdraw your app

Just send them an email explaining the matter and at the same time, send it in! :) Don't withdraw.

withdraw! heh heh heh

well i want advice cause i've already paid the app fee so i really don't want to waste the money. Whats the email address? i couldn't find it on the app webpage. i honestly woudln't have done this if they had an online tracking system.

send it now.. along with a letter of apology stating the mistake.. ALl wud be perfectly fine then...

SM

for real??? the problem is that my dad is doing all my financial aid stuff and he lives half way across the country so i guess ill send him to link to online PDF or whatever. do i really need an apology letter? i mean i think this would happen to a lot of kids since the admit rate is like 30 percent lol.

Does Penn really need to give you money? I don't think so. Do you want OPM~~~~~apparently yes. Does your dad have a vested interest in getting the financial responsibilities straight....yes. I can understand you want to go to Penn[well you aren't crying about it] but your attitude here on CC makes you appear spoiled and entitled. Lots of families want FA money and can read what is required to meet the deadlines and your coming here and posting isn't making me feel very sorry for you at all. I think maybe you don't know how this makes you appear to those who also want financial aid money.

The admit rate isn't 30% because people fail to submit things on time-it's because it's a great school with strong applicants.

i said the thing about the 30 percent by saying some people who are rejected are really dumb and probably would mess up more than me..

hazmat you don't have to be a meanie to me. You have no idea who i am, im far from spoiled because both my parents are out of work for about 2 years now. I just wanted some advice and im not going to whine or cry you a river if i don't go to an ivy league school. You have no idea why the kind of pressure i've been under and that right after i came home a week ago frm academic competition, i was informed that a close relative had died and that i was going to be taking a plane the very next morning. So don't tell me i don't have a bad attitude because i don't feel my life isn't complete without being an ivy leaguer. And now that im offically 2 weeks behind in school, i shall depart.

good news i called this afternoon and they said i could still turn it in, which i allready have. another acceptance letter couldn't hurt.

yes a lot of ppll do mess up with apps due to lack of information and that causes the so calld auto rejection of their applications..

which is gud for us...

SM

I'm sure you'll find a lot of empathy with the way you carry yourself. :)

exactly.. we shudnt talk of personal consequences on a public tablod like fashion...... moreover to struglle and survive and win is awesum.

but to fret abt struglge and survive to struggle is lame and i highly stay away frm tht..

SM

i only did that cause i hate how people judge on these. I'm not looking for empathy and i think by saying that im looking for it shows how cynical and judgemental your character really is. i use my life experiences all the time cause its really all i have so i don't regret saying anything.

I don't give a something if someone tells me good job or whatever, but i wish people on these boards weren't so stupid in terms of assumptions and attacks.

girlfriend, if penn is as need blind if they claim, being late on a finaid form should have no influence on your admissions decision. If anything, it'll impact the amount of fin aid you get. its like comparing apples and oranges...or something

Eckie's right. The fin aid stuff goes to different people to be reviewed and having it in late would probably just get you less money. Of course, the acceptance people might know that you're missing it, but I don't think they'll take that into account when making a decision.

hehehe...........all of the assumption is killing me. Different departments, different addresses, different time deadlines.

hazmat, you're already GOING to Penn. Killing YOU?!
