omg will i get rejected for this

i did cornell ed.
my teacher rec was from my english teacher, who asked for a rec sheet that asked us to answer several questions: whats ur favorite extracirricular, ur academic interests, the norm....

when i gave her this rec (sept), i had already finished my cornelll essays, so i just decided to recycle the stuff i wrote for the cornell essays, and give it to her. i also asked her to write many other recs for me (which i have not sent out- since i am waiting for the ed response)- and so i was compelled to open the rec for stony brook- and i find that she used the same stuff that i wrote on the rec sheet. so now, my essays are identical to her rec, cause she said she writes the first rec, and then just changes the name of the school. will colleges think i plagiarized or something...i am soooo scared

It might be a possibility but it's not likely because technically you're not supposed to know about your teacher's recs. So if they find a similarity, they're probably going to ask your teacher and then she should be able to straighten it out.

As for you, don't ask your teacher or Cornell about this. That'll make them think you do open reference letters(which you do lol) but they'll think much worse things.

But what kind of an English teacher is that? You'd think she could get off her ass and actually write something of her own, instead of copying your essay. Either do that or don't opt to write one.

Did she actually copy what you wrote for her? That makes absolutely no sense...what was she thinking?? That's not your fault...I would be so angry with her!

my gc knew a gc from another school who did something like that, and they called the school up and talked to their principal about it...i think your english teacher's head will roll, not yours. what a da...
