Schools:
Columbia University

Tufts
mellon carnegie
university of Virginia
Cooper Union
Boston University
Suny0 stony brook
SUNY buffalo

Columbia is a high reach. Your past CU experience may help, and the recommendation would definitely help. However, I don’t see any way unless you bring up your SAT. They’re not comparing it to other people at your school; they’re comparing it to other APPLICANTS, and your verbal score is below the middle 50% range for Columbia students. So study hard and bring it up! Shoot for 2200 at least. Don’t retake it over and over, but one more try will probably help.

Good stats for sure, SAT especially. Columbia seems like it might be tough, but who knows? Its a crapshoot for anyone. The rec should help. Cornell is also tough, but I say its 50/50. John Hopkins you can make, same with Tufts. MC is a slight reach. UofV youre in. Copper Union in. Boston University a slight reach. Stony Brook easy, same with UB.

First of all, I have no idea what your title means, just say Chance or something like that next time.

Second, it doesn’t matter what the rest of your school does in terms of SAT, my school’s the same, a crappy public school with half the class attending community college, but I’m looking at Ivy League. You have to do the same, if you’re looking at top schools your score should be higher. Try getting each section above 700.

you are impressive in ur local context, but be warned that in college you will finally be competing with many students much stronger than you. If you are ok with that idea, go for the cornell or tufts, just make sure that you aren’t going in over your head.

that said, ur in at the bottom 3 schools on ur list…the rest are reaches, but not totally outrageous…

most schools will understand your lack of Ap’s when they see the school does not offer them, the school sends a report of what they offer students with your transcript. if you liekt hese schools then apply, shock all of thema nd have the last laugh, admissions isn’t all about numbers and many people take the numbers overly seriosuly, there would be no middle 50 without a lower 25.

In my opinion, every student’s situation is different, u can’t judge me by these APs and SATs… but i have to score CR above 700, otherwise, i have to take the TOEFL as a requirement…
