Thanks for the help, everyone!

the purpose of the 25th HS reunion is to personally validate that HS grades/rank and SAT scores predict very little.

Mr. Yankee - There is now a recently opened skywalk that you can jump off of into the Grand Canyon. 5000 ft straight down. At 5 seconds per thousand feet, you've got 25 seconds of pure enjoyment - at least before you litter the bottom on impact. But you gotta pay something like $79 to do it. - lol

I think the OP's concern was: I got a B. Now my class rank has changed significantly (i.e I used to be 1/100 and now I'm 12/100, so not even top 10%), how will that affect me?

thank you captain obvious

Maybe obvious, but seemed like everyone was making fun of him instead of answering the question, which I freely admit that I don't have the answer to.

Ridiculous questions sometimes spur on ridiculous answers...

If the previous posts had not been obvious enough, one B will not kill your chances. Work hard and maybe take an SAT II in the subject you got a B in to prove to the colleges that you know your stuff. Your drop in class rank is not the end of the world either, not everyone in the college admission process is in the top 10% of their class. In fact around 90% of them aren't. Stabilize a hook for yourself, and sell your strengths. Play your cards correctly and you will be successful in this admission process.

And go jump off the grand canyon =) lol

o_o and here I was thinking it was okay to get B's in Freshmen year...
:( THEY TOLD ME 9TH GRADE DIDN'T COUNT!!

GAHHHHHH

lol.. thanks for the humor and also thanks for those of you who actually answered...

You are going to get into a great college. Just from what you've written, you seem to be a smart kid. Just don't stress yourself out too much. You may not even make it to your senior year due to internal explosion. Take a breath, it'll be ok. The first 'b' can be overwhelming, especially if others don't understand that 'that sort of thing just doesn't happen to me.' But it's not really a big deal. It's a number somone gave you. I'm not saying slack off, do work hard, but don't get an ulcer as a fifteen or sixteen year old. It's just not worth it. And have a little fun, too. We're kids. Young adults. Whatever.

lol, i ended up with the highest grade in the class.. "94.7" lol, waaay too much worrying for no reason.........
