***!!! LMAO. Maybe they knew your stats were too good and rejected you before you could reject them. It's like a high school gf-bf relationship.

haha a preemptive rejection...or some would call it the "Tufts syndrome"

Though I doubt UCR has any policy in place to protect their yield...

In any case, you're going to UCLA!!! Good luck =)

EDIT- It could have very well been a mistake.

Yep, I hear you, I got into Harvard but rejected from Tufts, although I didn't think I had the stats to be Tufts syndromed.

OMG EXACTYL!

I mean i got accepted at UChicago and Rice but rejected from Brow...

Wait a minute.

Yeah npeds, Brown is harder to get into as a transfer (and as a freshmen) than Rice and Chicago.

um....slipper, last year and the few years before, Brown was easier than rice and chicago, which both hover around 25 percent.

Brown all of a sudden took no one.

The UCs don't do that. It was probably a mistake.

LMAO. Most people would know that I was j/k. LOL. Some people are way too serious.

npeds, Georgetown not your cup of tea?

Nope:/

I will most probably be staying put, though. I already sent my decline-letter to UChicago.

why did u go through so much of this hassle to just stay put???

It was not that much if a hassle. It took me 45 minutes to do my essays. Haha.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I am beginning to have second thoughts. I would love to go Rice. I want to go so badly, but practical concerns are preventing my leaping forward.

well, just great, my semester gpa now, is a 3.95, in a tougher courseload than my last semester, if only i would have had these grades last semeter, can someone say Harvard, Stanford, Yale,?????
