OMGOMGOMG RaTe MeEeEEEeeE!!!!1

Hi,

I'm a 10th grade male and I scored 99th percentile SSAT (2334). Should I retake? OMG is that terrible??

I have a straight 4.3 GPA in all AP classes, is this not good enough? I also belong to MENSA and I have an IQ of 165. Is that not high enough? Should I take another IQ test?

I've played piano for 10 years and I've played three times in Britain's Royal Albert hall. I've been called a child prodigy in Rolling Stone magazine. Are my schools going to hate that?

Also, I think I coughed during one of my interviews. Should I retract my application for that school?

OMG HELP ME I'M SO NERVOUS AGHH AKBILQRGLIUREWIGQBENQVLITBCP;OE/AJRNGELV

Yep, looks like your screwed buddy, those 66 points you missed on that test are no way good enough.

Oh, did I mention I also speak 11 languages? Is that too few?

OMG SOO NERVOUS!!!!

Well
I applied last year
I have a 4.7 GPA
I made a perfect on the SSAT
I have an IQ of 180
And I speak 85 languages

I didn't even get waitlisted.

This is really funny!

What? No published research papers?

Pfft I didn't see any nobel prizes and rollingstone... what's that your school paper ?

REJECTED

haha tomthecat, ur funny

Oh, I'm sorry, but you have no chance.
I'd advise you to take the SSAT again. They won't let anyone in with anything less than 130%.
And that Rolling Stones thing /really/ screws you up. They did have the Jonas Borhters on their cover, after all.
And come on. Have you not even published a single novel?

Sorry, but you have no chance whatsoever. ):

Up until the coughed part I thought this might me for real. Kids on this board are so stupid sometimes you wonder why their even applying.

lol, mpicz.

i find this board hilarious

Omg this is hilarious!!!!

Haha, mpicz, I agree, I've literally seen a post with a kid "worrying" about whether a 96th percentile SSAT was good enough for his apps. When I see those and also see that someone has responded with something like, "OMG you're so smart, I wish I could do that well, I bet you have GREAT chances" I think to myself, what is wrong with the world?

If I were the first to respond to a post like that I'd say something like "Why don't you go get a life and brag to people who care"

Drives me crazy as well

Lol I know right...especially when the person obviously has posted a little bit on the board. Its kinda like...so out of this WHOLE board and all the people who have posted the EXACT same questions as you, you couldnt find 1 answer.

I mean I swear I could pull up 200 answers just like this "Your score is great..now worry about the other parts of your applications, any school can fill the class with 99% students". It can't be that hard to find, but it seems like people insist on hearing someone tell them their scores were great. But w.e, I have my own application to worry about lol.

Which schools are you applying to, mpicz, and for what grade? Just out of curiosity :-)

Some people just have parents who are extremely overbearing. Poor kids.

Great satire. Most won't recognize themselves, however.

perinkle,

that would be my parents :( lol

Well actually, periwinkle, I think the majority of the kids who post their insane stats only do it because they're looking for compliments. Anyone who scores in the 96th percentile on the SSAT is supposed to be smart enough to know that that's a great score. In fact, anyone who is applying to good boarding schools who asks if a 96 is good enough just plain shouldn't get into the boarding schools.

hahahhaa i love this thread. and I COMPLETELY AGREE.

it drives me INSANE when people write out their perfect grades:
ex-
A+, A+, A+, A+, A (OMG I HATE THAT TEACHER).
(by the way, i'm not trying to single anyone out or be mean)

honestly? thats ridiculous. at my school it is literally impossible to get more than two A+'s. even one is stretching it. i don't understand how kids can do THAT well and then think that they're going to be rejected, they really must be fishing for compliments.
