<p>I automatically filled in the missing word, too. I would not have him contact the college with the correction (would look pretty neurotic), but do correct if for future apps. </p>
<p>One of my son’s essays had a similar missing-a-small-word error. He didn’t catch it, I didn’t catch it, hubby didn’t catch it. After it was submitted, I was casually re-reading it and then I saw it. But he got accepted just the same to his super-selective No. 1 dream school. I wouldn’t worry about it.</p>
