In the summer between 8th and 9th grade I took Algebra 2 at a course called Math Enrichment and I don’t remember if I got an A or B in the class. The transcript the counselors gave us didn’t have course listed on it either, although I’m not sure it’s the “official” transcript. UC applications says it should be included in 9th grade courses, but I really want to turn in my UC apps as soon as possible and the 27th is the earliest possible date I can get the information. Can I just omit this from the college applications since it’s not that big of a deal?
As long as you’ve completed all of your a-g coursework and met graduation requirements between 9th and 12th grades, you don’t have to include anything you did prior to 9th grade.
Sorry if I’m being pedantic, but the 9th grade course submission page says:
“Summer Courses:
Enter summer courses you took after 8th grade and before 9th grade as 9th grade work. If you indicated taking summer courses after 9th grade, you can enter the courses separately on the next page. Leave this page blank if you only took summer courses at this school.”
Is it really not necessary?
You asked if you can omit it. The answer is yes. If you include it, you will need a transcript.
Ok thank you!
