Ommmmmmmmmmmmmggggggg!!!!!! I Got Off The Waitlist!

Yo Dudes Its Clz Im At Her Casa
Yayayayayayayyayayayayayayyy

Hey Caroline. :)

It's prep school...get over it.

Um... as someone who got off the WL at boarding school, I take great offense to this statement.... even if you don't care about prep schools, you should respect that other people do and try to make the effort to get into them. ^^

It's entirely ridiculous. Who cares? Why do you need to go to Prep school?

We all have our own reasons. Just because you don't see the point of them, it doesn't mean you should go around saying it's pointless.
Why are you on the prep school part of this site anyways?

I clicked new posts.

los, so Msu set a goal for himself. Agree or not, he willingly took on a highly competitive challenge: getting admitted to one of the top boarding schools in the nation. So that's impressive. He's confident, goal-oriented, focused...all at an age when most other kids are none of the above. And now, in addition to all that, he's learned that he's attained his goal.

Maybe you can urge him not to go forward with his plans, but dismissing this as though it's not an impressive achievement tells me that you're not really here to make a point about prep school as you are to talk trash and try to put down young teenaged kids.

mmmmhmm...

Thanks D'yer (I'm a girl by the way :) but it's all right)

Los, how about you go back to your other boards? You're not going to convince us that going to prep school is bad, or stupid, because thousands of kids do too.

I could go on the college board and say that ... hey, why don't we all abandon this "education" thing and sit around at home and watch TV instead? But you should respect that we're actually getting great educations from amazing schools that provide us with opportunities that will make us more prepared for college and extend beyond our college life.

I'm sorry to act aggressive, but I really think you have no right to be telling us this.

I'll go where I please.

Certainly, you're free to go where you please. But I think the point she's making is why you would want to come to a Prep School Forum. I didn't work that part out myself, actually.

I'm sorry to offend you. But, like pretty, I'm wondering what your purpose here is. I'm sorry for this short post but I'm on my dad's cell.

Because I think you guys are way overvaluing prep school.

good job!!!! yay for you :-)

people here are getting excited over somebody being accepted into a school that, for all intensive purposes, could change that persons life.
There are tons of other people on the SAT board that freak out because they got a 2380 and they wanted a 2400, yet you're going to come here and tell these people that they're 'way overvalueing prep school"

which is more likely to have an impact on your life: prep school, or 20 points on the SAT?

[edit] oh, and congrats to the OP! :)

Well, we're kids. Kids are allowed to be happy about getting ice cream, receiving birthday presents, and playing outside. Why not be happy about getting accepted to a really great school that will give you a great education and a lot of fun over the next four years?

Oh trust me--I'm the first to call out people for freaking out about getting a 23XX rather than a 2400 ;)
