Yup, he was going to matriculate for fall of 2006, but when the first HSM came out, he decided to defer until 2007 - and then obviously it became a ridiculously huge hit and he ended up just pursing acting. He still says that he wants to go back to college one day, but I highly doubt that will happen in the near future. We can hope, though. ;D

That would be pretty interesting going to school with a celebrity. But then again, in our 4 years of undergrad some people are inevitably going to be celebrities. bahahaa

ruskie…ruskie…Romeo is not horrible. He may not be starter material but he did bring something to the team. BTW who do you have for APs?

(I know that this is scary but…if you went to high school with Romeo) The only thing that the Quest Awards “prove” is what coach has the most clout on campus. And since Mike isn’t a staff coach (you will know what I mean if the high school is right) he doesn’t have the clout to have tennis win Best Team. Coach Weiss promoted her team for Best in Girls volleyball. The team made it first round CIF playoffs. Girls Tennis…won CIF. As for state? I thought that it was CIF. (But it might be different in water polo)

Everyone knows that Romeo cant play. I read an article in SI that said even an assistant coach on the team, says he can’t play. However, one of his best friends is/was Demar Derozan who was a top 5 recruit in the country(likely top 5 pick in the nba draft). Thats y he was offered.

May I say what I have said before: No one knows why admittance/varsity/whatever decisions are made. We can speculate. What I do know is this: (and shame on an assistant coach IF he spoke to SI without attribution) Romeo is finishing up his freshman year at SC. He was given a scholarship. He had limited court time. And, he deserves his privacy.

Its called a package deal, its becoming more common now, especially in football because you have more scholarships to give. UCLA tried to use it against us to get Manti Teo although he ended up going to ND anyway. USC sealed the deal by offering Romeo, him and DeRozan are good friends and played on the same AAU team together.
