Goodbye.

Goodbye.

9/10

5 IB/AP Classes, for the first year. Just finished the play at my school. Auditioning for the musical this week. Starting to hear back from colleges. Also involved with two honor societies, peer ministry at my church, and I’m an editor for the school newspaper. I have to do some serious editing this week.

Oh, and on top of that, I’m going on my first date this weekend. I’ve never been on one, and yeah I’m kind of freaking out

7/10
My grade for World Cultures dropped 8 points after I got an 82 on a project. So now I have a 90.6, so I kind of have to do well if I want to get exempt from the final (which I REALLY want to).
Also, I have lots of stuff on wednesday. I have jazz band auditions, world cultures essays AND project due, a test on Hamlet, possible Calc take-home test (yeah a take-home… I know), and physics hand in problems. I also have an Econ test coming up, so there’s a possibility of that test being wednesday. Do teachers plan this stuff?

I don’t get stressed. Right now I’m taking 5 APs and I do three seasons of varsity sports but the worst I get is a bit agitated / annoyed by the work I have to do.

^that’s what you usually call stress. And you don’t have act all cool it’s good to be a bit stressed.

But for me it’s over 9000.

1

Full IB, massive workload. One of the top public schools in the country. Sometime in October around 40% of the IB class just stopped caring about everything and anything. It was more of an unspoken mutual agreement that we all just stop stressing because it’s pointless and only decreases the quality of our work. I guess the natural transition was from apathy to hedonism because our dopamine and seratonin levels are higher than ever before and we are having the time of our lives in senior year.

Our grades have not been affected, because the decreased quantity of studying is made up for by the increased quality.

We are not using dopamine/seratonin specific reuptake inhibitors

Is fun a dopamine/seratonin SRI?

What is stress

I don’t feel “cool” it’s just that things like school work have never really bothered me much.

It’s weird; it’s like I recognize that I’m stressed, but it’s kind of below the surface of consciousness. On the surface, I’m numb to the stress, and there’s just occasional lapses where I realize how stressed I really am.

maybe a 3 at most… and it’s only because I know should be doing my HW but senioritis is kicking my behind… I only have 2 AP’s and a college course- yeah that’s my whole day and then a daycare class where I play with kids.

6 AP’s + 5 clubs + 2 leadership roles + 1 internship + summer apps + scholarship apps + USABO + AMC + 1 boyfriend = over 9000!!!
lol and I’m also desperate to raise my calc bc grade to an A to get straight A’s this semester. and I want to have a life too …

Like a 9 right now. I’m super stressed with 6 APs, college apps, a job, volunteering, NHS leadership position, and AcDec. My stress level jumped today when I realized the CSS Profile was actually open, and that I needed to fill it out by January 1st. I thought it OPENED Jan. 1 0_0

10: trying to keep all A’s and pass AP Calc! Then ACT scores come out in 3weeks and UCs notify sooo late D: and then on top of that, 7 clubs, sprained ankle and out for senior year wrestling :,( , insane parents who are further restricting my social life at times and then to complete the pyramid of stress, I am trying too woo this girl to hopefully be my first girlfriend haha

^lol perk of being a girl: not having to worry about wooing anyone into a relationship… most of the time

10 at this moment. Three short paragraphs for french finals tomorrow, and consider that I am only in level two that’s pretty tough. Two Ap bio free responses and a math test.

7 or 8–just prepping for finals and all that jazz.

8-10 maybe.
I have like 6 AP classes and 2 other classes. Have finals coming up, have the biggest projects coming up, college classes coming, extracurricular activites, competitions to do (art, science, engineering, etc), sports, summer camps, scholarship entries, and stuff related to the arts (music, art, drama, dance, digital art, etc).
Yup, and this is only the beginning.

Well, it SHOULD be at like 8-10 right now since I haven’t finished any of my homework due tomorrow and I have 2 tests tomorrow, but it’s actually like at a 1
I just feel dead after swim practice I guess…

1
No worries.

But only because I find out the results of a certain program tomorrow, for which I’ve been waiting almost 3 months. After that, it’ll hover at 8-9 if I get in, or a 1 if I don’t.

It’s currently about a 5.
