On a scale of 1-10...

How are my chances of getting into NYU,USC,UNC,Vanderbilt,GWU,UMiami,Binghamton,Geneseo?

2.8 hs gpa
1440/2400 sat

30 credits by the time of application (48 credits overall)
4.0 gpa URM

President of Phi Theta Kappa
President of Psychology club (future major)
Peer mentoring club

your college gpa is good but your hs gpa and sat are quite low. you can’t do anything about your hs gpa but you can about your sat. i would recommend taking it again and trying to bring it up as high as possible. with that being said though, do you plan on transferring in as a sophomore or a junior? if you plan on transferring in as a junior then your hs gpa and sat will carry less weight.

I plan on transferring mid-sophomore(48 credits). As far as the SAT is concerned, NYU, USC, GWU, MIAMI, Bing and Geneseo don’t consider SAT scores once you’ve obtained 30 credits. UNC and Vanderbilt are the two schools I’m worried about as they still require SAT scores.
