On a tangent: EVERYONE READ!

I wish I knew about College Confidential earlier, like back in freshman year of HS. I started visiting the site the first semester of my senior year and learned a lot about admission and the people I'm up against, which happend to be a little late. Just out of curiosity: When did you guys learn of this site? To what extent did it help you? And how did you learn of the site?

For me: It was from a friend who happend to be on since very early, and ended up being accepted ED to Johns Hopkins.

I found this site from a very two very popular people, Larry Page and Sergey Brin

aka. Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle

lol I watched a senior access this forum often when I was a junior but never really visited here until the summer between junior and senior year.

I didnt know about this site until this year (second semester of Senior year). I had already put in all my applications. If i had known about this site in freshman year I would be much better off and would have better ec's.

second semester of junior year, not too long ago. The result of my frantic search for college info.

i found out at the very end of junior year but didn't join until first semester of senior year

I joined in June after reading for a month or two...seems like a lot longer ago though. I found CC by actually searching for a college discussion forum...lame I know.

I learned about a week after I had submitted all my apps. I really wish I had known earlier because I think my application would have been much better. I would have known which ECs are common and which ECs are unique and should be emphasized, etc. I am very upset about this.

I learned about CC right before I got rejected ED from Cornell. There was an article on their website about how some kids had broken into the system and found out their decisions early using some past web address that they found on CC. I didn't pay much attention until about 2 months later when I decided to see what the site was, and here I am!
