on APPS I said I would take a class... but

So, I indicated on every single one of my apps that I would be taking Stats at a community college. But because high school students DON'T GET PRIORITY :( I didn't get into any of the classes.

So... what do I do? Will this negatively impact/affect me a lot?

Or will it not matter much?

My math classes history:

fresh: honors alg 2
soph: honors pre calc (UC-weighted)
jr: Calculus (Cal state fullerton)
__ - for calculus, I took 2 semesters, so if I can transfer the credits, I would be getting 8 credits; so somewhat equivalent to taking CALC AB & BC.

I did really well in all classes except for honors alg 2; I received academic awards (top1-3% in math department) for both precalc & calc.

contact your colleges. if you get accepted somewhere, and when you send your final transcript, stats isn’t on there, they probably won’t be cool with that.

Contact the schools by phone. Good chance to say hello to your rep and “ask advice” never hurts to keep your name in front of them as concerned and polite.

contacting in your case will not hurt you. you have an accurate reason and it was out of your control. but definately tell them now or at least a explination with your final trans

^ Oh, thanks.
so then for UCs I would be calling every single UC school? or is there a single place that I could contact?

Also, I declared my major as… Mathematics (well variations of mathematics for each school like mathematics, applied; mathematics in teaching, etc)
T_T

Yeah, you would need to notify all of them. That’s why I suggested sending a letter (which you can just print out multiple copies of) and attaching it to your final report because you will have to do those anyway.

My son couldn’t take a class (same situation of low registration priority that you experienced) he’d listed on his apps for his senior year. He just called emailed the admissions office, and then followed it up with a phone call. It was no problem. He just told them what he was doing instead of what he’d originally planned to do.
