Hey, I got in to UCF (Freshman/Transfer, Double Major Business/Theater), but I am having trouble with housing. The biggest thing is if I should stay on or off campus. Let me tell you what I am looking for in a room:

SAFE!!!!, I don't want to fear for my life

Rather not sare room

Okay closet space

Fun room/floor mates

Close to a gym/pool

Not lound

Kitchen not needed

Easy to get to class :) if I get up late lol

I was looking at all on campus, plus Peg Ponite, Peg Landing, and Boardwalk.
Wanted to know what the roomate survey is like too.
If you have advice or can offer a review it would be helpful.
Thank you.

I would highly recommend living on-campus if you can. Lake Claire is apartment-style with your own room (4 bed 2 bath) and a kitchen, about a fifteen minute walk to the gym. Hercules/Nike (Academic Village), Libra, and Apollo are all 2 bedroom/1 bath for four students (5 in some Apollo rooms). No kitchen but Academic Village (which is definitely the nicest complex as far as overall building quality) is right by the gym and the leisure pool, and Libra and Apollo are both right in the middle of campus (depending on where exactly you are, you could literally have a two-minute walk from your room to a class). Libra has the best sense of community as far as floormates go, with the exception of LEAD or Excel housing (both of which are in AV). (Honors housing... not as much of a community.)

Most people enjoy their time on-campus and it's overall really safe. I didn't actually take a roommate survey myself--I did LEAD Scholars housing and for what it's worth I really liked my roomates, they were cool enough guys.
