On-Campus Housing

So I'm seriously considering UCF for the Fall term. It's between that and USF. I'm going to wait and compare scholarship money I'm offered before choosing, however, I'd love to get some more information on the dorms and on-campus housing at UCF. I researched the housing plans and whatnot, but if anyone has any personal information or opinions that would be fantastic. I'm just curious on which lay out is best, and most practical. If it helps, I'll be a freshman undergraduate, and have zero preferences about co-ed, etc. I'm more introverted, so I'm shying away from the apartment type housing, but I'll still consider it if I get lots of people saying they love it.
Thank you!

Hi wolfeman, one thing you can do is scroll back through the threads on this forum and read about the different living environments. From your description of yourself, it sounds like you might meet friends more easily if you are in a traditional dorm as opposed to an apartment. You can always move to an apartment after you have established yourself, and then have your own room, kitchen, etc. The Nike, Hercules, and Libra dorms are very popular but I have no experience with those (my daughter lived in Lake Claire, then the Towers, then off campus). If you are in Honors College or another living/learning environment then Towers might work, because you will automatically have a group. Check out the old posts here for opinions. You can search the dorm name, housing, etc. Good luck!!

Thank you colcon! I’ll definitely check it out. I’m thinking after more research that Nike or Hercules is my best chance.

Wolfeman, you’re welcome! Get your housing deposit in early if they are still giving you a preference based on when you get your application in to residence life! Good luck!
