on campus housing

so all first years are required to live on campus. i was wondering if the apartments are considered on campus housing.

Yes. If it's listed on the CMU housing stuff, then you can apply to live there. And no matter what you do, don't pick New House, unless you want a tiny room, no privacy, and constant outside tours/groups coming in and using the meeting rooms, etc. I heard that Webster is really nice, and I know that Doherty is awesome.

I am trying to narrow all my options down before it is entirely too late, and I want to know if someone could tell me what the major benefits/pitfalls are to morewood, donner, doherty? another thing, when I visited I stayed in the "alumni housing" area right across the street, I think that's the name of it, and I stayed there with a freshman, is there any way for me to get into a place like that my freshman year?

I actually seriously thinking about New House as my first choice, followed by Morewood E tower.

What do you mean by no privacy in New House?

I'm looking for a house where I can study when I want to and go down to a lounge or something when I wanna have fun, and A/C is a plus for me, so that's why I was looking at New House.
