I did a harvard on-campus interview back in june, but now I wonder.. will I be getting a call for an alumni interview after sending in my application? If so, how will the on-campus interview be viewed?

From what I heard if they have space for you, they'll interview you. But that's provided they can give all the others a slot.

And I heard the on-campus will be viewed as a supplement to your alumni interview.

Thank you. I appreciate your response.

Can anyone say anything for certain?

Not sure this exactly applies, daughter had an on-campus interview during her "official" visit under NCAA rules. Shortly after applying EA, she was contacted locally for another interview.

The on-campus guy seemed to be sort of a team liaison adcom, daughter just got a nice personalized letter from him. Daughter thought the on-campus interview was to weed out recruits that were considered not admittable by the adcoms.

I was interviewed on campus by a Mr. Dwight Miller -- I believe he is the senior admissions director. Our conversation was comfortable and engaging. He made me feel comfortable and he seemed to be interested in my background, ECs, etc.

So according to what I've gotten so far... this interview will most likely be viewed as a supplement to the alumni? Can anyone vouch?

......bump

Yes. (10 char)

I think an interview with Dwight Miller is much more important than one with an alum (although alumni interviews are also important). He was responsible my application, and I heard that he has been involved with Harvard for a long time. He will probably have a lot of influence over your decision depending on what he thought of you.

It is correct that if there's an alum available to interview you, you'll get an interview.

I just found this very old post and wonder if anyone who can share their on on-campus interview questions at Harvard? Any suggestion and advice are greatly appreciated.
