My son was recently deferred for Elon. Would an on-campus interview next month help? is this something Elon looks for/ecourages? Travel is not an issue, as we're only a few hours away in Richmond. Thanks.

I am not sure if an interview would help. It would have to be with his admission person, but I think they do take cam[pus visits as a sign of interest, so if you haven’t been, it couldn’t hurt to visit for a day.

My son was deferred and because we were surprised I talked to one of the admissions counselors to make sure I understood. He made it pretty clear that every piece of information, including visits, would be considered, so I would say definitely go for the interview. And if there’s anything in his record that you think paints a clearer portrait of his life and his potential, you should send it in. For example, two of my son’s grandparents died within days of each other last year - traumatic and in some ways unexpected, and his schoolwork sufferedwe went through all of that. The counselor told me that they really needed to know stuff like that.
