I have my Yale interview later this week. I'm nervous about it because I've never had a college interview before! I would really appreciate some advice and help. I know I have to read through Yale materials and come up with a list of questions (it will probably be difficult for me to think of good questions).

Any suggestions or tips for the Yale on campus interview? What should I expect? Is it really a big deal?

Hey! My Yale interview was also my first interview, and although I was nervous, I thought it went really well. I found them not to be intimidating at all. One suggestion is to look online for sample interview questions that they might ask you and be prepared and practice. Also, read about Yale and prepare questions of your own, but not obvious or stupid ones or ones that dont matter like "how many books are in the yale libraries?" If you cant think of anything, i always asked what advice the person would have for incoming students or what they felt they got out of their yale experience (if they were alums).

Review your resume info, and think through what you may want to talk about in terms of major activities/ECs/course work.
The format is quite informal & relaxed, so don't fret.
Also think of some good questions that you want to ask of the interviewer!
