<p>S/he wants to be a quantitative analyst aka a trader’s b@#$% (I kid). Anyway I would think any research in an econ/math/engineering/etc field would be good.</p>
<p>As a general rule, you cannot get a job as a quant straight out of undergrad. What, specifically, are you interested in?</p>
