Hey everybody. I was just wondering what it is like to bring a car onto campus. Is their garaged or indoor parking? What about long-term parking? I would definitely want to bring my car with me, but know I am hearing that it is very difficult. Thanks so much for your feedback!

There is parking on campus but it is limited. I didn't have a car on campus and even if I did I wouldn't use it to drive around campus during the heavy class times. There is too much car and pedestrian traffic. But I would have loved to have a car to travel off-campus.

Parking permits are needed for some lots and they can be quite expensive. I saw some that were designated by residence hall and the annual cost was $604. That is crazy compared to another college I went to ($68 per semester). But since most students can afford Cornell's tuition and a car a parking permit fee shouldn't be a big problem.
