I have my on-campus senior interview tomorrow at Yale. Should I bring a copy of my resume with me? What should I wear?

You should have it handy in case the interviewer wants to look at it. Some interviewers don’t want to be distracted by it and others welcome having the information to talk more about (still others will take a copy to have for later use when they file their report).

On what you should wear, it depend what gender you are. Either way, the question has been answered countless times on CC. I’ll let someone else respond.

Good luck tomorrow!

P.S Don’t stress about the interview, it’s not as important as you’re probably imagining.

Thanks! I will definitely bring a copy of my resume tomorrow (minus grades/GPA info etc.)

‘business casual’ is what they usually say, although some kids go even more casual than that…look like yourself and be comfortable – if you’re uncomfortable it will show, don’t overdo the makeup jewelry etc., just tasteful and nothing distracting, layers in case it’s warm or cool. I’m assuming you’re a girl, although if you’re male this all applies, including going easy on the makeup and jewelry.

thanks for all the advice; i think the interview went well. I wore a pencil skirt/blouse/blazer (and yes, I am a girl). The questions were overall pretty predictable. Thanks for the advice!
