so i was planning on living off campus next year to have more privacy and because im tired of the cafe food and microwavable food(i so want a kitchen). so i was wondering if its better to live off campus or on?

I’m assuming you’re on campus right now, which is nice since hopefully you’ve made some friends by now. So the whole “not being quite as close to campus” thing is a bit of a non-issue in that case. As long as you can afford it I’d live off campus.

I myself commute and while it’s not ideal for making friends, I still kinda prefer it over living on-campus.

What’s your current situation? Are you a freshman? Living in the dorms?

There is no “better”, it’s just different. If you have already found a lot of friends and are willing to trade some of your social life for a nicer apartment, move off-campus. Yes, the great thing about living off-campus is privacy and the luxury of your own kitchen/bathroom and the ability to invite people (= girls) over, but it comes at the price of not meeting as many people as easily. At least that was true for me and I kind of regret moving off-campus too early.

Do you think making friends off-campus would be no big deal if you were in a fraternity/sorority?

i am a freshmen and i currently live in a dorm. im not too worried about the whole friend thing since i dont have many to begin with, besides the people i talk to during class…
