On Friday the 10th at 3pm (EST)....

It will be Saturday the 11th 4am here in Singapore...

My plan?

Go out partying till 3:50am.. come home, wait around by the computer..
And get accepted to Columbia

HOWEVERRRRR,
If it turns out to be a horrible D or R..
At least the pain will be numbed temporarily :) I'll delete the email..... And I will only have to deal with things in the morning... most likely, I'll have forgotten by the morning.. and the email would have been deleted.. So I'll still be my happy self on the Saturday morning.. with a huge headache :)

Good plan or not???

you crack me up each and every single day :)

not too bad, since you probably wont be able to sleep anyway

I'm going to a concer that I'm really really looking forward to that night. I'll probably check once I get home from school.

If I get in, the concert will be a celebration. If I don't, consolation.

When did we get confirmation that it will be sent at 3 pm??

franklinbrown, are u talking about the hives concert? cause they're performing here in Los Angeles on the 10th...if i get in, i'm going (EA to harvard)

No, The Arcade Fire in Portland, Oregon...

on friday the 10th I will be at my computer refreshing my email every few seconds to get my hopeful acceptance

"If I get in, the concert will be a celebration. If I don't, consolation." - hehe good plan Shakeer..
O and I asked Asif about you.. he knows you lol. - well obviously.
we had math today.. vectors.. it was sooo boring!!!

Here's to our acceptances :) Cheers!!!
Columbia, Harvard and the like... lol! Best of luck everyone!

So 3PM on Friday is, officially, when the email is sent?

no.. we don't know officially!

in all likelihood it would be 5 pm, not 3 pm.

why 5pm????????

well, that's when the admissions office closes and it would make sense for them to send those decisions out just as they leave. It would be a little weird to send them at 3 and spend the next 2 hours doing nothing I guess. Since they started emailing decisions, it has always been 5 olock.

Maybe they throw a little party for the next two hours and relax?
Didn't they send it a day early last year?

Yes, we got our email decisions a day earlier. According to Columbia's website, we were supposed to get it Friday after 5 pm, but we actually got it on Thursday 5 pm. Quite a pleasant surprise, or a brusque shock, to some people.

Wow Thursday...looks like I need to change my schedule!
