Hi everyone, Please share information regarding on- line tutoring. Which company is the best and reliable. My son plans to take AP Chem and I am looking for on line tutoring because we live in remote area. Welcome any advice.
My daughters swear by Khan Academy.
Also check on the scores typically received by his HS AP chem class. A good teacher may mean no need for extra tutoring. Son was well taught while a different state, more or less equally gifted and more studious, relative got A’s from his HS but only a 3 on the AP exam. btw- son did not do the work he should have as a HS senior- got a C second semester with classes ending a month after AP exams yielding a 5. Not all AP classes are equal- one major reason to have the AP exams. Oh, and son did not communicate with me, mom with the honors undergrad degree in…chemistry.
My son used Varsity tutors. They connected him with someone who understood exactly what was missed in class. The teacher was overwhelmed with 40 students so he was left to figure out problems during homework. He ended up with a 4 on the exam and did not even use the tutor the last couple of months before the exam.
