<p>When you have a D and retake the course and get a B?
The California State colleges ask which courses you have taken and your grades? Does anybody know how to answer this question?</p>
<p>For example....suppose I took an English class and received a D. Then retook the class in the summer and received a B. Do I get to write down the B?</p>
<p>eh... i believe it's the b... or whatever shows up on the transcript, my rec... have ur daughter ask her counselor for a copy of her transcript so she can copy exactly off it... lest any discrepancies seem shady</p>
<p>Dstark, If the course has been retaken for a passing grade (B or better) it is considered to have been cleared. Thus, you list the B, not the D, on the application. At least that is the rule at the UCs, and the Cal States have now adopted the same a-g reporting schedule so I would assume the same rule applies. They will, of course, still see the D on the final transcript, but as long as it has been cleared, it is the B that counts for the application.</p>
