On this link…https://help.liaisonedu.com/Cal_State_Apply_Applicant_Help_Center/Filling_Out_Your_Cal_State_Apply_Application/Cal_State_Apply_Personal_Information/7_Financial_and_Parental_Information)
… it says at the very bottom of the page that “If you don’t wish to include your income, enter $999,999.”
So what exactly would happen if I did this? I heard that reporting your income on the CSU application is only for determining if you are qualified for a fee waiver. Would there be any investigation/repercussions if I chose to do this?
Note: My parents are undocumented and have no set income/tax forms to report. Could this be something that I can put down instead of including an income?
The income information on the CSU application is just informational and only used to determine if you qualify for a fee waiver. If you prefer to not answer the question, there will be no repercussions.
Financial aid if you are applying will be based on the information you submit via the FASFA.
Just to be clear, entering 999,999 into the income fields would be fine? Sorry, this has been worrying me for a while.
The instructions state you can enter 999,999

On another couple,p of threads, you indicated that your parents DID have income…but it sounds like they were getting paid under the table. That doesn’t matter. The amount of their income can still be entered. Why wouldn’t you do that?
