On the DOn Imus COntroversy

and for the people saying that he was fired because of what he said, that is total BS. If anything, it's economical. All the advertisers pulled out. They were loosing money.

And seriously...he's an equal oppurtunity offender! It is what he does for a living! please, look at that article: it spells out EVERYTHING.

haha, princessbell--why'd you say "the d-word" after you'd already spelled it out and knew it wouldn't censor?
imus had too much power (b/c of the parasitic nature of capitalism) so he needed to be taken down. conspiracy!!

i want to bring this back out. Censorship is necessary even with the First Amendment. How would you feel if Neo-Nazis started a show bashing all kinds of people and promoting hate, hate which most definitely leads to violence.

Don Imus' release was long overdue and it was a much needed example. It showed not only employees of CBS, but all people in the media, that this kind of behavior is not accepted. Had CBS not fired Don Imus, it would have been a slap in the face for all Black people in America, especially women. It would have told us that America does not care about our respect, that we have only come so far to just step back.

I have no idea what post number 23 means.
Out of body posting?
