Letter 4:55, Pin Pass 6:14
Decision Upload 1:16

Surname is at the beginning of the alphabet,
First name is at the middle

Oh right - forgot to say - don’t forget to put your decision upload time - mine is 5:35.

Letter : 4:38
Pin Pass: 5:52

Upload: 1:16

This is even more ridiculous!!! JIMMINY CRICKET, guys!

Btw… I just posted this whole question of the time stamp correlating to the decision outcome on the Duke Class of 2014 facebook page. If you’re interested, go and have a look but everyone of them (for those who understood the question, because I may have been a little unclear) said there said that there was no correlation. Good news? Bad news? Whatever news?

Geez. Why don’t you guys try the code in the URL of your decision page as well? OR!..we can do the pet’s name. I’ll start.

Pet’s name: O
Upload: 1.16

i applied to duke ED, the whole time the email sent out was false. Everyone forgot to take into account time zones…but anywho my time stamp is 1:16

ooh i like the pet’s name thing…

time: 535
pet’s name: B or M (take your pick, i’ve got two)

shoe size also seemed promising: 11

perhaps it’s by birthdate: March of '92

no wait, it’s by hair color. Since i’m blonde, i’m guessing all of the blondes/redheads are in the 535 and the brunettes are 116. that would explain the number of 116ers, because there are many more brunettes than blondes/redheads combined.

hmmm… i think i’m on to something

;)

NOW ^^^^^^ MIGHT BE ON TO SOMETHING!!!

yay we are finally on the verge of unlocking the whole mystery!!! :D

my theory is that the time has to do with what school you are from. I know everyone from my school is 1:16 and we are not the most qualified bunch. my school starts with an H. several posts here allude to the fact that everyone from their school got the same time as well. if you would like, I will gladly copy and paste links to such posts.

in any case, I do not think it correlates to admission decisions at all. sleep tight everyone.

^People saying that Duke would not make such a stupid mistake is just wrong - a third party does the uploading, and U Chicago did post the accept/defer/denied in a particular order. It’s not very professional, the way they do it - but I do think it’s related.

the first letter of my last name is S

This whole subject is destined to become a Snopes urban legend.

Guys, this is silly. Two people with likelies said that their time was 5:35. If both 1:16 and 5:35 have likelies, then it cannot possibley be correlated to accepted/rejected. I think there might be some significance to the time, but I don’t think its as black and white as accepted/rejected.

they are divided by physical attractiveness.
the duke upperclassmen wanted an accurate reading of the incoming freshmen class, and pulled this prank :p

Could it be that it’s based on what college younapplied to like pratt or trinity?

ace: I really liked that comment a lot. Made 30 seconds of the 5 and a half hours left go that little bit quicker !

Baha I didn’t even apply to Duke and I’m freaking out for you guys.

that actually sounds like a pretty obvious explanation o_0
trinity 1:16. anyone?

you’re welcome obviously the 1:16 is the attractive bunch XD

^ i applied to pratt and i had 1.16 so i guess thats out as a possibility as well :(
