ON THE FENCE...COMM or WHICH MAJOR? HELP!

I just got accepted to USC's Annenberg. I'm a Spring transfer student coming in as a Jr.. I wanted to be a Journ/PR major, but I'm finishing my BA later in life and I don't have the time or finances to do 3yrs there since apps for Journ are Fall only. So I'm a basic Comm major now. My dilema: I have 64 units left to complete a degree. 12 units must be USC core. 48 for Comm Major = 4 left over. I really wanted to Minor in something as well, either Bus Law, Cinema-TV, or Screenwriting - but the 48unit major + 12 G.E. doesn't allow enough room. I considered switching majors to something w/only 32-36 units required, i.e., Psych, Linguistics, PoliSci. Should I switch, so as to be able to take more courses of interest & complete a minor? Or stick w/my coveted Annenberg spot? As a foundational degree - are any of these more or less than Comm on a resume?

Annenberg definitely has the connections. I would advise you to stick through it, if that's what you want to do. I'm pretty sure you just need to speak to the department, because if you look at the requirement online for the major, you do have flexibility in what your allowed to pick for your communication classes.
If you're transferring, your 12 GE credits I feel would be covered by what your transferring in. Are you sure you really understand your situatioN and what you actually need to complete?

liek0806, thanks for replying. Yes. USC has 3 core requirements that MUST be completed there = 12 units. Add that to the 48 for Comm = 60. I'd like to minor in Cinema-TV or Screenwriting. CT has a few classes that cross over, but they only allow one from CT.
