I'm currently a junior in the state of Florida, I'm just curious to see what else I can do to improve my chances of making it into an Ivy League, preferably Yale.

You certainly are on the right track. What are your standardized test scores though? Do you have any leadership positions in your extracurricular activities? Have you done anything special that will separate you from the other applicants at Yale, or any other Ivy? Your courseload is great though, tons of AP classes, which shows in your weighted GPA. Also being ranked number 1 will help your case. Of course write a great essay that is different and interesting.

I haven’t taken the SAT yet, I’ll hopefully take it this fall. Leadership wise I’m an editor for both the newspaper and yearbook at my school, that means ordering people around to get you articles, editing articles, doing layouts, taking pictures, graphics, and as well as writing my own personal articles. I’m Vice President for the Tri Sports Club, and the captain of our school’s NOSB team, as well as SECME team. As far as standing out, I’m still working on this, hopefully this year my NOSB team will get to nationals, as it did last year.
:)

How the hell do you get a 5.6?

It’s not even mathematically possible unless your school is that weird…

the GPA system in Miami is pretty weird, an A in an AP or IB class counts as 6 points towards your GPA, yet I’ve met people whose GPA has reached over 7? yeah, you can call it weird.
