More importantly than test scores you have to raise that GPA, the average GPA at UNC is a 3.8-4.0 and the median SAT is like a 1950 you have a 1560 at this point that is a 390 Point difference.....I would say you are on the right track but you have ALOT of work to do in the next 5 or 6 months, you need to 4.0 all your classes both semesters of your junior year and raise that SAT by a good amount or give the ACT a try

thanks. i'll have a letter of recommendation from a unc alumni who donates alot of money to the school. do you think that could give me alot of pull if im unable to meet those scores and gpa?

what's your class rank? are you from an underrepresented or rural area of NC?

a recommendation letter from a prominent alum could be slightly helpful, but it definitely won't get you in by itself. you should have scores and a GPA in the average or slightly-below average range in addition.

Make sure you try taking the ACT. When converted, my ACT score was about 240 points higher than my SAT. It could make a HUGE difference.
Your EC's are really good, but like they said get as good of grades as you can and go for an even more advanced course load next year.

Even if you don't get in as a freshman realize that transferring is a very real and valid opportunity. My stats were abhorrent compared to yours and yet I transferred in from a lesser school. Not all of us had 3.8/4.0 or great SAT scores. I had like a 3.0 and 1100 on the SAT but that was only due to my own laziness.

Get your grades up and try to retake the SAT but also realize it's not the end of the world if you don't get in as a freshman.
