Just submitted my UC App, but when reviewing it, i noticed i didn't have an ELC number while some of my friends who were also ELC had an ELC number on their application. I registered through the ELC instructions and recieved the letter in the mail. Need info please!

Just put your UC ELC number in the box that it goes in.

i just submitted my application. doh. btw, i don't remember having an ELC number box in the actual application, but i have the letter with the number on it.

did you create your application through the link for ELC students? if so you should have had some of your personal informationand elc number filled out. if you made made a mistake, you can always call the ELC people or admissions at the UC you wish to apply to.

ill probably call the ELC people tomorrow afternoon. If i can't somehow put on the application that i'm ELC, how would it affect my chances at UCs? All i know about ELC is that you're gauranteed to one of those 4 UCs. Does it mattar for the top UCs like UCSD, UCLA, and UCB?

To the OP,
If you haven't yet done so, call the ELC office. Their # should be on the snail-mailings you received from them -- which also should contain your username & password for ELC identification. Explain what happened & see if they can retrieve the app for you & input the correct I.D. info. (Or they'll tell you what else you should do, if necessary.)

Maybe you would get in anyway, but you don't want to take unnecessary chances, so hopefully they can rescue the situation.

If you used the elc on-line application, the number was already in the box. Is it possible is it there and you didn't notice it?

Jahx, What was the outcome of your f/u (that was "follow up," I hope you know!) with the ELC help desk? Any?
