On Track for Cornell?

I am a rising senior and was wondering if I'm on the right track for being admitted to Cornell.

Stats:
SAT I: 750R/780M/690W
SAT II: Took Chem and Math II in June (think high for Math II, above average Chem)
Rank: 7/200
GPA: 5.1
ECs: Golf, Track, NHS, Basketball (Fresh and Soph)
Next Year Schedule: AP Calc; AT OHIO UNIVERSITY Phys 201, Hist 121 (Classical Age), Eng 202 (Critical Approaches to Poetry), I'll probably throw one more class in at the High School, just not sure what yet

Want to be admitted into College of Engineering

Any imput would be appreciated! Thanks!

yes. (just graduated from cornell)

but then again, how the heck did you get gpa of 5.1? A+ in AP class counts as 5.5 or something?

I have a 5.1 because my school does weighted GPA strangely. There are 3 scales, 4.0 scale for comp/basic, 5.0 for honors, and 6.0 for AP. I have gotten straight A's but some of the classes have had to be comp because of graduation requirements, and APs don't start until sophmore year (junior year in math), so I have taken ALMOST all avaliable AP's at my school (Took Honors Spanish IV, Honors Bio other than that all AP's) and gotten all A's.

just keep in mind that your 5.1 will not actually be a '5.1' to colleges. They will recalculate your GPA so for others to give you a more accurate assessment on your chances, you should recalculate your GPA, with 5.0 for honors/APs.

Completely unweighted (everything on a 4.0 scale) I have a 3.99

Yes, you're a strong candidate for Cornell.
