On waiting list for UCI..now UCR vs. UCSB

I am trying to decide where I should go if I don't get accepted off of the waiting list at UCI. I can chose between UCR and UCSB. UCR is close to home, but then UCSB is close to the beach. One main thing for me would be the people and the environment. Is UCSB a party school? It isn't something I am looking for, it's not for me.

Other things to look at:
I am looking to get a degree in aerospace engineering —only UCI has that.
UCR I would be doing Mechanical Engineering
UCR I will most likely be accepted into the honors program where I get priority for choosing my classes
UCSB I would be doing Physics

Party school? Of course. UCSB is consistently ranked as one of the top party schools in entire country:

If you want to be an engineer then Riverside is your best choice. You are not going to be able to switch into it if you go to Santa Barbara.

^Yes go with Irvine if you get accepted. If not Riverside is pretty good.
