As the title says, some SAT test takers scores have been delayed for some administration that may take up to 5 weeks (Like December’s SAT scores), I don’t believe that I will get my scores fairly released as they claim because the last time I got my scores far less than what I had expected, and probably It will happen again. I am as sure I did good on May 2 test as I was on December’s SAT test (It was delayed too), therefore probably I will not get my real scores, I’m sure It will be far less than what I expect as It always happen when scores are delayed.
Please tell me what I should do about it, If my scores are far less than what I expect? Do I have to E-mail the collegeboard or make a test scores verification? That’s too much frustrating for me because I’m not going to gain what I deserve after studying all day and practicing a lot.
When scores are delayed, it means a lot of things. First one your scores increase or decrease a lot from the last time you took the SAT. Not sure if you are from Asia, but most of time they get delayed their scores. Someone cheated on your test room. Yeah try to call them, but most of the time ETS is the one who is in charge of that. Good Luck!
The matter is when scores are delayed I don’t get my real score, All my effort is gone. I don’t know what they do with my score or how they calculate it when it’s deleted, but It doesn’t meet my least expectations even. Collegeboard seems to be targeting the Middle East, It’s the first time I get my scores delayed twice.I’m afraid they reduce the RAW SCORE of Middle East when they do that administration review. I see that’s unfair and sometimes I wish I didn’t take any SAT tests and regret the effort I’ve done for it.
What do you recommend me to do? I have a screenshot of the Email if you want me to add here. I think I’ll wait for the scores to show up, If it didn’t meet my least expectation I will keep in touch with Collegeboard or order a score verification immediately.
I hope you get that score this time. Don’t think that’s the reason you got scores low. As I said they double check the answers and they don’t give a score that you don’t deserve.
They may wonder how the scores of some Egyptians raise by 150 or 200 scores, Egyptian public universities require SAT students to obtain at least 1440 to be able to post an application. That means the minimum score a student must get to join a university is 1440 unlike in U.S and some other countries which have much more easier universities application requirements. Yes I already got above 1440 but It’s still doesn’t meet my college requirement, I want to be an Engineer, and that requires at least 1880 or above for an application (And yes some egyptians score that and apply for it). After December SAT score delay, I was too much frustrated that I still had to increase my score by 300 scores to apply for my college, and so After studying hard and devoting myself for the SAT studying and try to substitute any lack I had in the other previous tests, I find out just now that my scores are being delayed and I may not receive my original scores due to some administrative reviews. I’m not satisfied at all because I got my scores delayed and administratively reviewed twice, and I only have my last chance on June 6,2015.
Finally I hope they do NOT deduct from the Raw score and keep it the same as the rest of other countries because we are in a very serious need of help on this because as I’ve mentioned above It requires us a lot of effort and a high score to apply for a college here, and It differs from country to the other. We relied on Collegeboard to be the way to our Colleges (And not some other test systems) for their fairness and I hope they are worth relying because It’s a person’s future and life not just a “test”. If someone’s from Egypt as well, I’d like to hear from you.
I don’t think they altered any of our scores because of the delay. Although I was very disappointed by my December scores, I’m fairly certain it was just a harsh curve and a hard test in general that made me underperform. Most people I talked to did worse than expected on the December test as well but I don’t believe that had anything to do with the delay,at least I hope so. (I’m an Egyptian student as well if you didn’t guess already :P). As for May let’s just hope for the best and that these 5 weeks pass by quick. It sucks that we have to wait but what can we do.
@Meryam Ok. You might be right at the point of altering scores, but I still have doubts about altering the raw scores of the tests. Moreover, I haven’t practiced at all from the day I took May test waiting for the scores to show up and know my weak points from understanding the test performance. Also I don’t feel like studying because I am still concerned and frustrated by the delay.
Do you plan to take the June sat?? Because if so, I will start practicing no matter my score of the may one.
I know it sucks to get your score delayed I also got delayed in the November sat, but still I hope you get your target score in this one, just be patient.
Boso someone in a thread said you can see your Math and Reading scores (not writing) before they come out.It worked for me, and everyone I told, in December so it should work now.
Tomorrow after scores come out (now it doesn’t work yet) or maybe a couple of days later you go on your account and go to the page with all your scores. On the right you’ll find a hyperlink that says something like “list of colleges that match…”. After you click on that you’ll find it says math and under it reading with two ranges of possible scores next to them. Get the average of the minumum and max. scores in each range and those are your math and reading scores.
The one who figured this out is a genius, I just read it I’ll post here tomorrow if it works, I’m 90% sure though because as I said I did this last time.
