"Once at UCB, students must take all prereq's @ UCB."...but am I considered admitted?

This is from the Berkeley website:

"Once at UC Berkeley, students must take all prerequisites at UC Berkeley. **If non-UC Berkeley college level course work was completed before admission into UC Berkeley, it can be used to satisfy prerequisite or breadth requirements **with the exception of Principles of Business (UGBA 10), which must be taken at UC Berkeley. If off-campus work was completed at a California community college, visit the Assist website, Welcome to ASSIST for courses at each school that fulfill the prerequisite or breadth requirements."

I'm an upcoming graduating senior and was accepted into Berkeley for Fall 2008. I'm thinking of taking several community college courses this summer to get a head start on my prerequisites/GE's. However, am I considered an "already admitted" student? I thought that technically, since I haven't started college at Berkeley yet, it's safe for me to take summer community college courses and use those to satisfy prerequisites in the fall.

So basically, can the community college courses I take this summer satisfy my Berkeley GE's/prereq's? Technically I haven't started college yet...

Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

It should be fine to take classes at a CCC this summer since you aren't technically a full student yet. Ask a Haas adviser to confirm. (By the way, Haas lately has been implementing a lot of stupid policies in its undergrad program.)
