Hello, I'm new to the site, and had a question.

I've had fairly consistent grades (a's and b's..and maybe one or two c's)
I've taken and am in AP and honors classes and go to one of the best high schools in my state.

The problem is that I got a D in my first quarter in math. I know by the second semester and the end of the year I will atleast have it to a b. It will be my first D on record. Will colleges take harshly to this? Thoughts?

You’re screwed.

No not really. Just get over it. It will hurt your GPA a liiitle, but one quarter of one class is not going to make admissions change their mind about you as a student, especially if you show improvement. Try harder and get that grade up; a D as a semester/final average would be a bigger problem.

Don’t worry…

transcripts don’t show quarter grades. If your semester grade is better, then you’re fine.

Colleges aren’t going to see that quarter grade.
