one AP. Am I doomed.

one AP in junior year while average people take more in my competitive school. is admission to top tier (under Ivy) possible without considering ECs,sats?
plan to do 3~4 AP next year.

It's possible but very unlikely ESPECIALLY if your school offers more than 5 AP's. When your counselor sends out the school report and if they find out that you haven't challenged yourself academically, it puts you at a VERY big disadvantage.

you're doomed...but look on the bright side...there's always community college :) ...I'm just kidding lol...

yea you still have a chance at top schools ranked like 25 on down

you people kill me. i wouldn't go to one of those damn ivy league colleges if i was dying for god's sake

hahaha....crap....my school doesn't even offer AP....oh well.....i guess

You won't be punished for your school not offering APs.

Self-study a bunch and get 5s, then be like "Yeah....I'm awesome"

im already awesome without APs ..lol
actually i'm in a school that offers 20+ APs

ouch...that's gonna hurt ya.

i don't think its that big of a deal. after all, ap is just the name of a test given by a company called cb.

some of these responses give us a bad name

Wait, if the school has 20+ APs, why did you not take more than one? If the answer is laziness, you've got a problem.

It's also not a matter of choice at some schools. Like mine.

I tried for 4 APs for my senior year, but we need to take qualifying exams, and they are extremely competitive. And I mean - extremely. Our school's competition is cut-throat, I was even amazed I got into AP Art History, and that was because my teacher even said my analytical skils on Art were superb, it showed on the exam.

Schools know that our AP courses are exam-based, and insanely competitve, so they will know that our school curriculum is rigorous enough even without the AP courses.
