I'm a senior this year and up until now the worst grade I've received was a B for a sem. of calculus, but now I'm failing my dual credit political philosophy class. I'll definately be able to bring it up to a D if not a C by quarter's end, and a C or a B by semester's end, so how will this affect my admissions for places like Bard, SLC, Willamette, Whitworth and Whitman (Especially since I'm using a priority app for Willamette and Whitworth)? In all my other classes I currently have A's.

Does your school report quarter grades? My kids’ school only reports year-end grades. It will report mid-year semester grades if requested, but it doesn’t report quarter grades. Call your school and find out - especially if you were to request that your transcripts be send NOW…before the end of the marking period.

Unless your high school is different, most transcripts only show semester grades, so try to bring it up as much as you can by the end of the semester.

There is one case that I know of that causes the release of quarterly grades and that is EA or ED. When d applied EA last year, her first quarter grades were sent, followed by the grades on the midyear report.

Do your best to get these grades up for the midyear report and you might what to think twice if you were contemplating submitting any EA/ED applications.
